Well, The Day has finally arrived! I am surprised that I have not heard sounds from the ceiling above my head – no, not “the prancing and pawing of each tiny hoof” that Moore spoke of in “A Visit from St. Nicholas” – but the stirring of my grand-children. Sleep on, little ones, there is much of the day you have yet to see. To all who have faithfully followed my sister’s blog: I wish you a truly Merry Christmas!

    • Thanks Eric. Your grandchildren are not quite as old as we were when we used to sit upstairs counting down until the earliest time Daddy had declared that we could start Christmas. This morning Mama woke us up wiht a phone call at 8:30 a.m. and I told Jeff, “I have now crossed the great divide between the time I woke my Mother up on Christmas because I was so excited, and the time she woke us up on Christmas because she was so excited.” Truly a blessing to reach that point in life. Merry Christmas to all your family and everyone who visits us here!

  2. Thanks for your wonderful pictures and daily thoughts. Merry Christmas and may God bless you and your family. Monte

    • Thanks Monte (and Carolyn!) – Just visited your lovely blog and saw that Monte went to seminary at Candler – so did our older son! He finished his MDiv in 2009 and is now ABD in American Church History at Emory. I grew up in Atlanta and will always think of it as my home. Merry Christmas and thanks for visiting us here!
