“In the midst of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.”
— Albert Camus
I took this photo in the garden at Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, somewhere around 2003.
Nice scenery. Nice quote.
Thank you! In looking back over these posts from the early days, I see you are one who has been with us almost from the very beginning. I so appreciate your visits here!
Julia, you have changed things up so much since this first post and you have inspired beyond words with each and every post. Although, our lives have changed drastically, yours in particularly, we still have so many blessings. I admire you so very much and thank you for every post that you’ve written! Your friend, Sheila 💛
Sheila, despite my love of writing and all my words, there are some things that can’t be captured in prose. My gratitude to you for your steadfast friendship and support is one of them. It seems a sort of miracle that we met first here and only once in person, yet you are a major part of my continuing effort to defeat despair. Thank you a thousand times for being here, my friend. ❤ Or maybe I should say “1036 times, and counting…” 😀
Good morning, Julia. Sometimes it just feels comforting to “go back in time” and remember. Thank you for all you’ve given in prose and photos and of course, our Verandah friendship! 💛💛
Thanks for remembering, Sheila, and going WAAAAY back (if seven and a half years could be called WAAAY back) with me!
