“…for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.”
George Eliot, from the closing lines of Middlemarch

Look around you today.  You are surrounded by saints, cleverly disguised as fallible human beings.  Indeed, you may be one yourself.

Julia, meaning no disrespect to George Eliot (it is a great quote), but your words resonate with me even more! Thanks!

We can learn a lot by the people around us!

Yes, and sometimes from the people we may see as least likely to teach us! Thanks for visiting here. I hope you’ll come back often!

I recently shared that Westjet Christmas Video with you and they’ve been in the news again. This week they are saving lives. A 73 year old man collapsed at the Edmonton airport. The Westjet crew and United Airline Staff jumped into action immediately to do CPR and used a defibrillators to restart his heart before the paramedics were on scene. Thanks to crew, the gentleman’s life was saved. They’re been called hero’s but are shying away from the fanfare stating, “it’s are job, we’re just happy he’s with his family now”.

That is so cool! I just love hearing “happy ending” stories like this one. Thanks for sharing it. I’ll have to fly this airline sometime!
