Nature’s way

“Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!'” Robin Williams

Surely by now, warm spring weather has started to arrive in even the chilliest parts of the northern hemisphere.  Better late than never! What can we do to celebrate springtime this week?   Take a walk, plan a picnic, visit a park.  Make some lemonade, bake some cookies (before it gets too hot to turn on the oven), call friends and invite them for a cookout.  Or just sit outside and bask in the return of warmer weather.  Whatever you do, I wish you joy.  May the springtime weather lift our spirits and bring hope to our hearts!

Beautiful picture. I’m thankful for the Lord’s gift of flowers!

    • Amen! Thanks for being here!

Good morning, Julia. I love that photograph! Something tells me the beauty happened all over again this spring. Days are longer and nights are shorter for me right now. I don’t even mind since I love spring. I made “SWEET TEA” yesterday so I’m in the mood and mode. HahaI I will think of you, Jeff, and Matt today with a hopeful heart. Sheila

    • Thanks Sheila, for the next couple of days when things get stressful I’ll imagine I’m sitting with you drinking that good old Southern sweet tea and gazing at the ocean! Thanks so much for being here, and for your encouraging words.

What’s happening in the next couple days? More surgery?

    • Hi Sherrie, I will update you with the details via Facebook, but suffice it to say that it’s risky but exciting. Prayers appreciated!

  5. I am all for hope. Hoping you get all the good news you can stand in the coming days. Love you.

    • Thanks Amy! We will keep you posted. Love & cyber hugs!

  6. Wish you a great day! Spring must be a wonderful season for you. But here we are awaiting the sultry summer. But the good news is that we shall soon go on vacation escaping the peak summer, and that will be a great relief for us!

    • Yes, spring is wonderful, and we have had a late and long one this year. It’s just now starting to get hot. I’m glad you will have a nice break from the heat with your vacation. I imagine it gets even hotter where you are than it does here. Last year we had several days in the 90’s (Farenheit) but the worst part is the humidity. I like to drink lots of iced tea during summer; it’s a Southern habit here!

  7. Julia, this is me, Bindu. Whimsicalsouls is the blog I started for my last year’s batch of grade ten students. Now I have handed over the admin. to them.
Forgot to add: Loved the shot – the colour contrast make it so bright.

    • Hi Bindu! How great that you started a blog for your students. I will have to go check it out. Glad you liked the post!

  8. The word ‘finally’ is one I might use too Julia. Thankfully returning home this week we’ve been met with young green leaves on the trees and pleasant weather. I haven’t had too much time to do anything much outside, but we’ve enjoyed walking to our market and out for coffee. The patio’s are in use again too. Today we’re going to view a home for sale and are very hopeful. There’s a few more listings coming up so that’s my favourite thing about this particular spring.

    • How fun! I’m so glad you finally are having perfect house-hunting weather. I hope you have a wonderful Boomdee craft room in the new Boomdeeville! Do Blossom and Petals get veto power? Believe it or not it’s been pretty chilly most of this week. Spring 2013 is being unusually mercurial but that’s okay, at least there’s no snow!
